:This weight does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It locks firmly in place with a non-marring nylon-tipped set screw. The build quality is first rate and the finish is very attractive. The only downside and it’s a very small one is that this weight is almost too heavy for my small home-built refractor. If you want to use a Short Tube 80 on your CG-5 this weight will be way too heavy but it will work great for an 8 SCT.
