Audubon Binoculars

Audubon binoculars are manufactured by Vortex and cover a number of products including binoculars, monoculars and spotting scopes. The main Audubon binoculars lines are the compact, equinox, intrepid, raptor and vector. They are designed by Sheltered Wings.

Audubon binoculars are an initiative by the national Audibon society in the United States of America. They have been working for 100 years to help people to understand nature better and is appreciate the natural world supporting conservation and restoration of natural ecosystems. The initiative started with John James Audubon in the 1800?s and he was one of the countries leading wildlife artists producing ?Birds of America? a collection of 435 life size bird prints.

Compact, and full size binoculars are offered in the Audubon range.

The mini 7 x 18 is an extremely small size and light weight. It has a collapsible design which allows the owner to hide these away in a small pocket. Small size does not lead to a compromise on a bright or sharp image.

With a slight increase in size we have the compact 8 x 42 and 10 x 25. The slight increase in dimensions leads to improvements as these are a great selection for general use and also perform very well for serious bird watching.

The top of the line equinox hp 8 x 42 and 10 x 42 feature improved comfort, enhanced image quality with value for money. They are recommended by Audubon for viewing butterflies, wildlife, flowers and birds.

Flowers and less timid wildlife of dynamically brought to life with Audubon binoculars that are able to focus as close 5 feet from the subject. Focusing is achievable also in dim light because of excellent quality optics employed including multi-coatings, glare reduction and optical phase correction coating on roof prisms.

With the bird watching roots and experience of what is required for long viewing sessions in the outdoors these binoculars have been designed for easy handling and seeking to avoid hand cramps. The focus wheel has been carefully positioned and the eye cups can also accommodate eye glasses and sunglasses.

Audubon binoculars are an excellent choice for bird watchers and less challenging wildlife and should give you a comfortable, enjoyable day’s activity
